Going up?

This one is DEFINITELY a love letter to Dean Yeagle's classic Playboy cartoons! I've always admired his ability to tell a complete story in a single image, often with a little cheeky humor thrown in for good measure. And what better way to explore that than with a good old-fashioned wardrobe malfunction?

Beyond the gag itself, I had a couple of artistic goals in mind. First, I wanted to play with motion and fabric to help sell the action and tell the story. Second, I wanted to introduce an environment that was essential to understanding what was happening without allowing it to steal the spotlight from the character.

I'm genuinely thrilled with how this one turned out, and I'd love to explore more of this kind of visual storytelling in future pieces!
